Getting Comfortable
The first thing you should do is head over to the preferences menu and set things up so they work for you. There aren't many preferences in What's Next, but the ones we've got are important.

- Date and Time formats
Set your preferred date and time format. By default, What's Next uses an American date format (month/day/year) and a 24 hour clock. To change this, simply edit the date format field, using "d", "m" and "y" placeholders for day, month and year respectively. You can use any separator you like.
Tick (or leave unticked) the box for the 12 hour time format, just as you prefer.
- Compact Display
The design of What's Next has been optimised for high-resolution screens. On screens with smaller resolutions, the default design simply does not show enough information to be useful. By checking this preference, you can use an alternate, more compact display mode.
- Tips
What's Next contains a number of handy tips that are displayed occasionally. They don't turn up very frequently and have been designed to be unobtrusive. We suggest to leave the tips on until you master your full Ninja skills, but this is of course up to you. You can change this preference at any time.
- * Remote Access *
By default, What's Next will prevent other computers from accessing the application remotely. If you want to run What's Next on a server (for example in a home network), check this box to allow remote access. Please note that since there is no access control, everybody in your network will be able to see all you data.
